Disgusting...

So Spencer is the messiest eater I know... Most babies are probably just as messy, but he can get pretty disgusting. I think he just likes to get it all over his face. Here are a few examples of his messiness.

Pretty messy huh? Well, it gets worse...

He decides to spread his food to his bumbo. We decided after this to move him to his bouncer.

And then he just spits everything back out! Although it is pretty disgusting, he's still cute with prunes and peas all over his face don't you think? =)

He's pretty adorable when he's all cleaned up too. I put him in the laundry basket one day and he seemed to enjoy it. It at least distracted him for a while...

Last weekend we went to Salt Lake to hang out with Matt and Chelsea. Matt and Bryce watched the Jazz game while Chelsea and I did some crafts. I wish we lived in the same town so we could do things like this more often! So here is what we made:

It turned out pretty cute huh? It was just a little pot that we painted white, and then we took a styrofoam thing and hot glued brussel sproats on it. I think it would be a cute little Christmas tree decoration too.

Anyway, it was pretty fun and next we are going to try and make some baby shoes!

What we've been up to

So on Thursday Bryce got to go skiing. He has been wanting to go for a while and finally got to go with Matt (my sister Chelsea's husband) and his family. While he was skiing Spencer and I got to hang out with Chelsea. It has been so nice outside lately so we decided to go walk around Gateway. While we were there we went into some baby stores and started trying things on Spencer.

He also walked around the shooting water thing with Chels. Some of the water landed on him and he got a little upset, but he had fun until then!

Sitting up! He doesn't last very long like this and usually ends up bending in half when he tries to attack his toes. (and if you look close you can see his two little teeth!)

Spencer loves to look at himself in the mirror. This was while we were visiting Chelsea on Thursday. Anytime he is getting cranky you just have to take him to a mirror and he's happy for at least a little while.

Reading Stories

My little baby is growing up...

So I know I just posted the other day but I've been watching videos and looking at pictures of Spencer when he was just born and wanted to post again. Chad and Mandy (Bryce's brother and wife) just had their little baby Cameron and we went and saw them at the hospital yesterday. So I guess that has me thinking back on when Spencer was born. It is so crazy how fast the time has gone by and how big he is getting! I know, I know...he is only 5 months old!! Just think of what I'll be like when he starts eating real food, goes to kindergarten, turns 12, etc, etc!! No, I won't be a crazy mom (hopefully)...I love to see him get bigger and do new things. He is at such a fun age right now. But it is fun to look back at how little he was and to think back to when he was born and how much he has grown since then.



Anywayyy, I put together a video I took of Spencer when he was only 4 weeks old, and then I took one of him today in the same onesie on the same blanket. I thought it was interesting to see how much more he can do and how much more chunk he's got on his little legs!

Oh, and here is a picture we took when we went to see Cameron and Mandy at the hopsital. He is such a cute baby and I am sure he and Spencer will be little buddies.

5 Months!

Spencer is 5 months old today. And he is getting his first two teeth! I have been thinking for a while that he must be teething but never could feel any teeth coming in. But they are definitely poking out now, so I'm not just crazy.

After eating some delicious rice cereal...he just wanted to save some for later.

So we still have to bundle Spencer up whenever he goes to sleep. And he has been getting really good at getting his arms out. We came in to get him after a nap and found him trying to escape from his crib! Such a funny baby.

The first video is Spencer attacking his turtle mirror. He is getting so grabby and just looks so funny when he's trying to get something. Usually when I try to video him doing something like this he stops and just looks at me. But this time I snuck up on him! The next video was after we went and got some ice cream at Coldstone with my sister Chelsea and her husband Matt. When we were at Coldstone Bryce had just gotten his ice cream and was holding Spencer. And Spencer was going crazy grabbing for Bryce's ice cream. It was so funny. He was getting pretty hungry and must've thought it was his rice cereal or something. We tried to recreate it when we got home but it wasn't quite the same. He was like 10 times more exctied to grab at Bryce's ice cream than he is in this video, but it's still pretty funny.

Bryce's Golden Birthday!

So today Bryce turned 26 on the 26th! He is really getting up there. Before you know it he will be 30! We had a pretty good day though. We went to his favorite place Ruby River Steakhouse and I made him an apple pie! (it is his favorite and he prefers this to having cake) Here are a few pictures of Bryce and his "cake". I kept trying to get Spencer to look at me and smile but he was just really into the candles.






Annnnd, I finally got a video of Spencer rolling over! I was changing his diaper and putting his pajamas on and he was just having so much fun being in just his diaper. So I put him in his crib and let him play. He was grabbing his feet and moving around and just looked so cute!
